Kathak Bells was founded by Nima Mistry from Houston, TX. Nima has been learning kathak for over ten years under her Guru, Smt. Shiva Mathur.

As a passionate student pursuing the artform, Nima considers ghungroos as a sacred and essential part of Kathak. She noticed that high quality ghungroos were difficult to obtain in the United States. While there were many sources selling, the bells and string would fall apart very quickly. Nima started checking multiple sources to make sure that both the bells and the string that she used were of the best quality. With the blessing of her guru, she established Kathak Bells and now ships handcrafted ghungroos throughout the United States.
